Methodologies for Analyzing Social Impact and Ethical Considerations

Throughout the course you must analyze and evaluate the social impact of information technology on individuals and society and consider the ethical issues raised by this impact.

Social Impact and Ethical considerations need to be analyzed from both local and global perspectives, recognizing that attitudes and opinions are diverse within and between different cultures.

Below you will see how IB suggests we approach the Social and Ethical aspect of class and how many "marks" they typically assign to these types of questions.

Before you begin, look at the questions below and then pick a technology (that you have not done for earlier assignments) that you will answer the questions for. Use your syllabus to help you.

I want you to work with a partner and work up some type of presentation. You can do a PowerPoint, however, do NOT use a lot of text, just an outline please. Whatever you come up with there must be something (printed) to turn in C.A.N.

Answer both sections in your presentation
